Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is a premier social sciences institute which offers a wide array of postgraduate and professional degree, diploma, and certificate programmes. TISS Mumbai Admission Process

Overview
    • Admission to most PG (Master’s) programmes at TISS is based 100% on CUET-PG 2025 scores. No interviews or group discussions are conducted.
    • However, a few programmes (MA in Human Resources Management & Labour Relations; MA in Organisation Development, Change & Leadership; Master of Hospital Administration) use CAT 2024 scores.
Step 1: Check Eligibility & Programme Info
    • Before applying, check the list of programmes, their eligibility criteria, whether they accept CUET or CAT scores, seats available, etc.
Step 2: Admission Notifications & Calendar
    • Keep track of the admission notification releases and the calendar for PG admissions. Important dates include online application start, last date, fee payment deadline, correction window, exam centre announcements.
Step 4: Register / Create Account on TISS Portal
  • Register on the TISS admissions portal with a unique email ID.
  • Validate via OTP / email verification.
Step 5: Select Programme(s)
  • After login, select the programme level (PG) and the specific programme(s) you want to apply for.
  • Choose campus / regional centre / department.
  • You may apply to more than one programme (maximum 3 across all campuses).
Step 6: Fee Payment & Submission
  • Pay the application fee through the gateway (credit/debit card, net banking, UPI).
  • Once payment is successful, submit the application.
  • Ensure that all parts of the form are completed before submission.
Step 7: Correction Window
  • After form submission, there is a correction window where you can edit certain particulars (name, programme choice, etc.) within prescribed dates.
Step 8: Merit List / Shortlisting
  • Based on CUET-PG or CAT score (depending on course), candidates are ranked.
  • For programmes using CAT, there may also be Online Assessment, Group Discussion / Exercise / Written Test, Personal Interview in some cases.
  • For CUET-PG based programmes, no interview/GD rounds.
Step 9: Document Verification & Admission Confirmation
  • Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents for verification.
  • Once verification is done, final admission offer is issued.
  • Pay the required fees / confirm seat.
