Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is an online computer based entrance exam which grants the eligible candidates admission for MBA courses offered by XLRI Jamshedpur, XIMB Bhubaneswar, IMT Ghaziabad, TAPMI etc along with other 160+ management institutes in the country. The exam is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur, which is the same league as that of the top IIMs of the country, in association with XAMI (Xavier Association of Management Institutes). It is the one of the most widely attempted entrance exams after CAT exam with more than 100000+ students enrolling each year.
XAT Exam Notification and Overview

The XAT exam is an important step for MBA aspirants, held every January by XLRI Jamshedpur. The official notification, typically out in August on the XAT website, gives essential details like registration dates, exam date, and fees.

During registration, candidates fill out their personal and academic info, choose test cities, and pay the fee. The notification also explains the exam format, including sections like Verbal Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability, and General Knowledge. It highlights any updates or changes in the pattern.

Keeping up with this notification is key to staying on track with deadlines and requirements, making it a must-follow for all XAT candidates.

CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

The eligibility criteria for the XAT 2024 exam have been outlined, and they largely mirror those from previous years. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration in any discipline from a recognized institution. Importantly, there is no minimum percentage required to apply for the XAT. Candidates with professional degrees such as CA or CS are also eligible to appear for the exam.

Additionally, those in the final year of their undergraduate program are allowed to apply, provided they complete their course by June 2024. NRI and foreign candidates can apply through the GMAT, though domestic candidates must apply via the XAT itself. No specific work experience is required for eligibility, which is the same across XLRI and other participating colleges
