IIM Mumbai Admission Process

Application & Key Dates
  • Applicants must submit the online application form via the institute’s admission portal.
  • The application fee is INR 1,000 (non-refundable) for MBA / MBA-HCM programs.
  • The deadline for application is typically 20 January 2026 (23:59 IST) (for the current cycle) regardless of which qualifying exam is used.
  • For those applying via CMAT, a Round 2 schedule will be announced later (post CMAT results), but applicants must still apply by the 20 January deadline.
  • The institute reserves the right to reschedule WAT / PI dates; in such cases, applicants are informed in advance.
Selection / Shortlisting
  • Applicants are shortlisted based on a valid score in one of these entrance exams: CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT (by GMAC), CMAT.
  • For MBA / MBA-HCM, the process includes shortlisting, WAT (Written Ability Test), GD / PI (Group Discussion / Personal Interview), and Statement of Purpose (SOP) in some cases.
