What is the IIFT Exam?

The IIFT exam is an aptitude test designed for admission to the MBA in International Business and MBA in Business Analytics programs offered by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in Delhi and Kolkata.

Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of IIFT, the NTA’s role is limited to administering the exam and preparing the results. The institute is responsible for the selection of candidates. Similar to other MBA entrance exams in India, the IIFT exam assesses candidates through questions in Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness. The exam lasts for two hours. Additionally, IIFT admits foreign, NRI, and PIO candidates based on their GMAT scores. For the academic year 2024-25, the institute opted not to conduct the entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree of three years in any field from a recognized university.
  • General category students need at least 50% marks in their graduation.
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates need at least 45% marks.
  • Final-year students can also apply, but they must submit their degree by October 7, 2024.
  • Candidates with professional degrees equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree can also apply.

Important Update
For the 2024-25 academic year, IIFT will not conduct its own entrance exam. Foreign, NRI, and PIO candidates can apply using their GMAT scores.

IIFT 2025 Application Fee

For the IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) application for the MBA in International Business for the year 2025, the application fee is ₹2,500 for general category candidates and ₹1,000 for reserved category candidate
