What is CMAT Exam?

Common Management Admission Test or CMAT is a widely recognized entrance exam which helps candidates get admission in more than 1500 colleges across India. Some of the top listed colleges that accept CMAT exam score are JBIMS, Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research, KJ SIMSR, Greatlakes Chennai, Goa Institute of Management, XISS Ranchi etc which are all affiliated to recognizing bodies like AICTE and UGC. The students opting for the exam has the leverage of selecting up to 4 test cities of their preference and the system generates one of those cities and allocates it to the student. NTA has been responsible for managing the online deliverance of CMAT across prometric centers since 2019.

CMAT 2023 Exam Notification and Overview

The notification for CMAT 2024 has officially been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). However, the exact dates for the CMAT 2024 exam are yet to be announced. Candidates can start their preparations as the exam is expected to be held in May 2024, with the registration window expected to open around the beginning of the year. The exam will be a computer-based test covering sections like Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria 2024
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Those who are in the final year of their graduation and expect their results before the commencement of the academic year 2024-2025 are also eligible to apply.
  • Citizenship: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Age Limit: There is no age restriction for candidates appearing for the CMAT 2024 exam.
  • Minimum Marks Requirement: There is no minimum aggregate marks requirement for filling the CMAT 2024 application form.

CMAT 2023 Application Fee

The updated application fee details for the CMAT 2024 exam are now available on the official website. Here’s the current fee structure:

  • INR 2,000 for General category male candidates.
  • INR 1,000 for General category female and reserved category students (SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL/Gen-EWS).

The registration fee is non-refundable once paid, and the entire process is conducted online, including uploading scanned images, fee payment, and printing the confirmation page and admit card. Ensure to follow the guidelines carefully during registration
