MH-CET

What is MBA-CET Exam?
MBA-CET is a state level management entrance test held by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), the government body responsible for technical education in Maharashtra. It is also known as MBA-CET MBA exam. It is one of the major entrance exams which give the candidates access to MBA colleges across Maharashtra like JBIMS, Sydenham, Wellingkar etc.
The MBA-CET exam is held once every year, usually in the month of March. One major difference in the procedure for the exam from other entrance exams is that the MBA-CET exam score determines the college that you are eligible for admission in. There are no Group Discussion or Personal Interview rounds like most other entrance exams. The only factor that affects the candidature (apart from the score) is the domicile of the candidate. Candidates who have a Maharashtra domicile tend to get a benefit from the reservation policy that the DTE has.
The level of difficulty of the MBA-CET exam is usually lower than other entrance exams like CATXAT, SNAP, etc. One of the major reasons for the lower level of difficulty is the fact that there is no negative marking. The MBA-CET exam is almost purely a speed test where the candidate who is able to solve the most number of questions within the shortest period of time will get a higher percentile. The absence of negative marking introduces an element of luck and fortune in the equation as the guesses that every candidate makes can elevate their percentile if they get it right.
