Step 1: Appear for an Accepted Entrance Exam

Step 5: Admission Confirmation

Step 1: Eligibility & Entrance Test

• • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration.

  • Must have full-time / regular work experience, at least 1 year (though more than one year is preferred) in a registered organization (private / public / state / central) or MSME.

  • Candidate’s place of work / organization should be within about a 75 km radial distance from the Institute.

Step 2: Application & Registration

• • • Go to NLDIMSR’s official website and find the Executive PGDM program page.

    • Fill out the online application / registration form. Upload required academic documents (Bachelor’s degree certificate or provisional, mark-sheets), work experience proof, identity proof etc.

    • Pay the non-refundable application fee (if applicable). (The institute will specify the amount in the admissions brochure or website.)

Step 3: Selection Rounds

• • The institute reviews the candidate’s academic record, work experience, and eligibility vs the criteria.

  • Shortlisted candidates may be invited for one or more of these rounds:

    • Personal Interview (PI)

    • Possibly Group Discussion or Critical Thinking / Aptitude Test (if applicable)

Step 4: Final Selection & Offer

• • • Final decision is made after combining: eligibility, academic credentials, performance in interview / GD or assessment, and work experience.

    • On successful completion of this first year, students are awarded a PGC in Global Business Management.

    • Selected candidates receive the offer letter.

Step 5: Fee Payment & Admission Confirmation

• • • Once offer is accepted, candidate must pay the required fee to confirm their seat. For Executive PGDM, the total fee.

    • Attend any orientation / induction programs as scheduled by the institute.

Step 4: Foundation Year at NLDIMSR (1st Year)

• • • Duration: ~ 11 months foundation program at NLDIMSR.

    • On successful completion of this first year, students are awarded a PGC in Global Business Management.

    • Must achieve a minimum U.S.-equivalent GPA threshold (approx. 2.75 / 4.0) to be eligible for the partner university for the 2nd year. For scholarship eligibility, often higher (≈ 3.0/4.0).

Step 5: Transfer to Partner University (2nd Year)

• • • After meeting GPA requirement, students move to the partner university (e.g. University of Wisconsin-Parkside, USA, or other affiliated institutions) for the second year.

    • Degree awarded by the partner university upon completion of 2nd year.

Step 6: Scholarships & Additional Support)

• • • International scholarship opportunities available (up to USD 4,000-6,000) for those achieving good performance in the 1st year.

    • Waivers: GMAT / GRE / TOEFL / IELTS / work-experience often waived off for this program.

    • Support given for documentation, visa application, etc.

Step 7: Admission Confirmation

• • • Once selected, candidate receives an offer letter.

    • Candidate must complete fee payment, document verification, and other formalities (visa, travel if applying for partner university abroad).

Step 1: Eligibility

• • Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Management or related discipline (MBA/ MMS/ M.Com/ relevant PG degree) with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories) from a recognized university.

  • Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET / SET / SLET / GATE / M.Phil. are exempted from the entrance test but must appear for the personal interview.

Step 2: Entrance Examination

• • • Candidates must appear for the PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test) conducted by the University of Mumbai (to which NLDIMSR is affiliated).

    • The test generally evaluates research methodology, subject-specific knowledge, and analytical ability.

Step 3: Application to NLDIMSR

• • Eligible candidates must fill the Ph.D. application form at NLDIMSR with required academic details, work experience (if any), and proposed research interests.

  • Upload/submit the following documents:

    • Postgraduate marksheets & degree certificates

    • Research proposal / Statement of Purpose (SOP)

    • Entrance exam (PET/NET/SET etc.) qualification proof

    • Updated CV

Step 4: Research Proposal & Personal Interview

• • • Shortlisted candidates are invited to present a preliminary research proposal in their area of interest.

    • They also face a Personal Interview (PI) round where research aptitude, subject knowledge, and motivation are evaluated.

Step 5: Selection & Admission Offer

• • • Final selection is based on:

      • PET/NET/SET or equivalent exam performance

      • Academic record in UG & PG

      • Quality & feasibility of proposed research

      • Performance in interview

      • Selected candidates receive an official offer letter from NLDIMSR.

Step 6: Registration & Coursework

• • • After acceptance, candidates complete admission formalities and register with the University of Mumbai as Ph.D. scholars.

    • They must undergo mandatory coursework in research methodology and advanced management studies (as per UGC & Mumbai University guidelines).

Step 7: Research Work & Submission

• • • Scholars are allotted a Research Guide (supervisor).

    • They must periodically submit progress reports, present seminars, and publish research papers during the program.

    • After completing minimum 3 years of research work, candidates can submit their Ph.D. thesis for evaluation.

  • Some programs may allow those who are in final year of degree (pending result) provided they complete by admission deadline. (Check specific certificate / program requirement)

Step 2: Register & Verify

• • • Go to NLDIMSR’s Distance & Online Learning / Certificate Programs portal.

    • Register yourself (provide name, email, phone etc.), and verify email address.

Step 3: Fill Application Form & Upload Documents

• • After registration, fill out the application form for chosen certificate / short term program.

  • Upload required documents such as: degree certificate / provisional degree, mark-sheets, identity proof etc.

Step 4: Pay Programme Fee / Application Fee

• • • Pay the required fee / programme fee (or deposit) as specified for that program.

    • Payment is usually done online; some programs may require full payment up front.

Step 5: Confirmation of Admission

• • • Once your documents are verified and fee is payment processed, you’ll receive confirmation of admission.

    • Then you are given/study materials access, the schedule / start date, login to e-learning platform etc.
