What is SNAP Exam?

Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test is a common admission test conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed) University for admission to the MBA/PGDM programmes offered by its 16 constituent institutes. The SIU offers MBA/PGDM courses in various popular as well as niche specialisations. Apart from SIU constituent institutes, JK Business School-Gurgaon also accepts SNAP score for admission to its MBA programmes.

SNAP 2024 Exam Notification and Overview

The notification is expected to be released in September/October. The exam typically occurs in the middle of December on Sundays.

Last year, SNAP 2023 was conducted in three slots: 10th December 2023, 17th December 2023, and 23rd December 2023, with students eligible to appear for 2 slots. Candidates must adhere to the registration guidelines and verify their eligibility before filling out the application form.

Please note that candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria will not be permitted to take the examination.

SNAP Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates have to fulfil the below-given eligibility criteria for appearing in SNAP exam 2024:

  • Graduation in any stream with minimum 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD candidates) or equivalent from a recognised university or institute can apply for SNAP 2024.For certain MBA specialisation, one may need to have studied a relevant course in graduation.
  • Final year graduation candidates can also appear in SNAP.  However, they will have to present passing certificate of final year by a certain deadline. Till then their selection will be provisional.
  • There is no age limit on appearing for SNAP, but since the minimum qualification is graduation, candidates have to be atleast 18 years and above.
  • International students have to obtain a certificate of equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to be able to apply for SNAP 2024.

SNAP 2024 Exam Pattern

SNAP is one of the the easiest MBA entrance exams amongst all. The SNAP test structure is straightforward and so is the marking scheme. Check below the highlights of SNAP exam pattern 2024:

  • The SNAP exam duration is 60 minutes

  • There is no sectional time limit in SNAP

  • The total number of questions is 60

  • SNAP General English section has 15 questions,

  • Analytical and Logical Reasoning has 25 questions

  • Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation-Data Sufficiency has 20 questions.

  • Total marks of the exam is 60.

  • Every question carries 1 mark

  • There is negative marking of – 0.25 marks for every wrong attempt

  • The difficulty level of SNAP exam is easy to moderate.

Application Fee

The application fee for the SNAP exam varies based on the candidate’s category:

  • For the General, EWS (Economically Weaker Section), and NC-OBC (Non-Creamy Layer Other Backward Classes) categories, the fee is set at ₹2,500.
  • SC/ST and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates are required to pay a reduced fee of ₹1,250.

Applicants could register for the SNAP exam from August 1 until the deadline on September 20, 2024. Payment can be made online through options such as credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, or mobile wallets.

SNAP Exam Cutoff 2024

The cutoff for the SNAP 2024 exam will be released by all SIU (Symbiosis International University) institutes individually for admission to their respective MBA programs. Candidates who meet the cutoff will be considered for the Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds of MBA admission.

The cutoffs are determined based on several factors and vary among different institutes. For the SIBM Pune, the expected cutoff for the SNAP 2024 exam is around 98.5 percentile, while for SCMHRD, it is expected to be around 97 percentile.
